Fun in the Snow

We took the kids to the snow for the first time. We got Aiden a little sled that fit him perfectly. It strapped him in and kept him from tipping over. He had alot of fun going down the hills and scott got lots of exercise going up and down after him. Our niece Jennifer joined us on the trip also. Ava spent the time sleeping in the sling and staying cozy and warm .

Bilyeu Barbershop

It is once again time for the monthly haircut. Scott is a master-barber. He is getting very good at giving Aiden his stylin haircuts. Aiden is playing with the cat clippers while he is getting his cut.

Safety First

Fun at Grandpa's house

These were taken the day after Christmas at Grandpa Bilyeu's house. Aiden and Beverly's granddaughter Maggie, had a great time opening a few gifts and playing the piano. Aiden got a play chain saw that came with safety goggles. He is learning all about safety with his tools.

Just a few pictures of Ava in her new outfits from Christmas. We spent the day after Christmas at Grandpa Bilyeu's house visitting.Ava is getting very big and loves to smile all the time, she is a very happy girl.

Bilyeu Construction Zone...........

Aiden is learning his way around the work bench. He saw me use his hammer to hammer a nail in the wall to hang up a picture and then he thought it was ok to "bang bang" on the wall. I had to show him the work bench was for hammering on. Here are a few videos of him playing with the tools.

It's Tool Time....

Since Aiden loves tools and helping Scott in the garage we got him his own workbench with some power tools for Christmas. He is having a great time using all the tools: hammer and screw drivers and drill and saw. It sounds like a construction zone at our house now all the time. He is learning to work with his hands early on. He'll be a regular handyman by the time he is 2.

Joining the coffee cup grownups at the table.....

Aiden got his own personalized coffee cup and is enjoying drinking out of it at the table with the grownups. (although his cup spells his name Aidan- different than his own- Aiden) He has not started in on the coffee just yet though. lol

Aiden is learning how to use his new shotgun that shoots foam balls. Luckily he cannot pump it on his own yet, so we have some warning before the shots fire. Lol.

Hottub in December

We have been enjoying the hot tub after Ava goes to bed and after dinner some nights. Aiden loves it. He has on my robe to stay warm on the way out. I am sure he will appreciate this picture of him in a pink robe when he gets much older. He loves swimming around in the hot tub .

Bilyeu Bloopers

This is a new edition to our blog that i am starting called Bilyeu Bloopers. I am sure each of you has many funny stories that have occurred while you are on your adventure in parenthood. It is definitely an adventure, never sure where it will take you. Thought some of my stories might bring a smile or laugh to your days every now and again.

Today was like no other. I was off to the grocery store when of course Aiden, who did not want to eat breakfast earlier decides he is hungry when we are going out the door. So i gather up a little Tupperware bowl full of dry cereal. Out in the car i am buckling him in and i set his little bowl on top of the car. Only to have it blown off onto my head- raining cereal onto my head . Lovely huh? Next i am driving to the end of our street and notice that i have forgotten that my trunk was still open, since i had gotten something out of it before we took off. So i had to jump out and shut it. My neighbors must think i'm a real wacko.. haha. As we finished our shopping trip, the guy at the store was loading all the groceries into my trunk, By this time Aiden was full of energy and tired of sitting in the cart at the store and was wiggling all around while i am trying to buckle him in. Ava was also getting hungry and had started to cry as i snapped her car seat into place. I thanked the guy and he then told me that i had "better head straight home and make no stops on the way". I'm not sure if it was because it was so cold and windy out today, or if he thought i had my hands full with these 2 kids under the age of 2. I told him not to worry there would be no other stops for this bunch. LOL...

Ava's First Christmas Party

We took the kids to the Carmax Christmas Party tonight. Everyone thought Ava was a doll. I dressed her up in this cute red dress and this adorable headband. Aiden had fun playing in the kids playroom with all the toys and other kids. Lots of good food and desserts too. They had nametags for everybody- even the kids.

More Holiday photos

You'll notice that there are many decorations scattered on the front table. We figured it was a good way to decorate with them instead of putting them on the tree where Aiden could reach them.

Decorating for the Holidays

We put our tree up last week and Aiden had great fun helping out. You'll notice alot of ornaments are missing from the bottum of the tree. Aiden like taking them off and putting them back on. =)

Trying to Roll Over.. With Help

Ava is enjoying some floor time. Aiden likes to join in and help her out. He shows her how to clap her hands and to roll over. She is getting very big. She had her 8 week checkup and shots and now weighs 11pounds 1 ounce and is 23 inches long. I tried to get her to smile in the video , but no luck.

Sleepytime.. Time for bonding with Dad..

Scott is enjoying snuggling up to little Ava. Some while asleep and some while she is wide awke. Can you see her very blue eyes here? I don't know if you can see in the pictures, but all her hair is falling out. She looks funny. I am sure she will have luscious blonde locks to replace the lost hair soon.
